“Kandy” was filmed entirely within a living room and required the fabrication of a faux bathroom, which I built in two nights. This posed a challenge in the editing process, as it necessitated the judicious selection and arrangement of shots so as not to betray the fact that the film was shot on a low-budget constructed set.
From an initial runtime of 35 minutes, the film was reduced to 17 minutes while preserving the story and delivering a seamless viewing experience devoid of narrative illusionary disruptions. Thanks to the editing process, a three-walled, unsteady bathroom into a believable public restroom.
